As i’ve been sitting here for weeks wanting SOO badly to blog this absolutely perfect session, i’ve been trying to think of exactly what to say to describe the amazing experience I had while photographing these beautiful human beings. So here it is —
David and Mikayla are such special people. The love that they share for one another is so great, so genuine, so inspiring it makes my heart hurt. I loved being able to capture the genuine-ness of a moment, an embrace. It was truly such a beautiful thing. I’m honored to know these wonderful people and be able to photograph their truly special love for eachother.
These two’s laughs were so contagious, I’m pretty sure we were laughing the whole entire night. Well, in between my squealing because of how absolutely perfect everything was going. And they’re just down-right adorable. <3
We spent our evening in Downtown Dallas, just breathing in the fancy, artsy-ness of Deep Ellum. Then we finished up our session 20 minutes after sunset on the docks of White Rock Lake to capture some of the most beautiful portraits i’ve ever shot in my life. The moody-ness of the images totally made everything absolutely perfect!!
Seeing David and Mikayla’s style throughout these images just made everything even more perfect! From Mikayla’s super adorable outfits, to David’s Dapper Suit, I was in photographer heaven. <3

Absolutely stunning photos all around! And such a lovely couple. I adore what you did with the sign on the garage door. So sweet! That mural, the robot/dinosaur, Greetings from Deep Ellum, and the flag were painted by my boyfriend Frank Campagna. The koi fish mural is by Brian Crawford, and the space women with cupcakes is by Cathey Miller. All great local artists who get a kick out of seeing people enjoying their work.
