Impending rain storms couldn’t keep these two from becoming Mr. + Mrs. in a city full of history and incredible architecture. They got married at the most beautiful historic hotel and danced the night away without a care in the world. It was a classic and joyful evening of love. The way Richard looks at Lauren really shows how much he loves her. He wouldn’t stop making funny faces during photos and couldn’t hold back his laughter during the ceremony. There was so much joy in the air that day!
Lauren + Richard currently live in Texas so they traveled to and from during their engagement for all the wedding festivities. They chose to get married in their hometown just outside of New Orleans where they grew up and met in high school, to be near family and all of the places and people special to them. The venue for their wedding was a historical hotel recently refurbished in the past couple of years. It’s history and architecture really spoke to them so they knew they wanted to spend their special day there.
Fun fact: Richard wore the same suit to his senior prom, which was their first date together. So it seems dancing with one another was how they started and how they began their forever future! Lauren’s dress was also made by one of the top wedding gown designers in New Orleans! New Orleans was such a unique experience, with all of it’s history and tradition. The couple did a 2nd line during the reception and it was SO MUCH FUN! James and I had a blast! They chose to have their wedding around family and friends because they really did want a big party, and thats most definitely what they had! The band kept the dance floor lively and full the whole night.
All of this to say that all of the tiny details for Lauren + Richard’s day came together so perfectly. I’m SO excited to share this gorgeous New Orleans wedding with you all!
