I met Kaitlynn way back in my high school days. We actually played homeschool basketball together. When she contacted me saying that she was engaged and wanted me to photograph it, I was over the moon.
When I had the privilege to meet her amazing, soon-to-be husband Michael I was even more excited. The love that these two humans have for each other is amazing, they had been dating for just a month over 4 years on their wedding day, but have known each other from church their whole lives. (Tell me that isn’t the sweetest story.) We went on an a little adventure to the beautiful mountains of Oklahoma for their engagement session, and let me tell ya. It was magical. Blog post coming soon! ;) After creating some amazing images that day, I knew that their wedding was going to be an incredible day filled with so much laughter + joy, not to mention lots of love and tears. It was a day full of many emotions, and we felt all of them.
Their day was absolutely freezing all day long (hello Texas in December in all of its bi-polar loveliness) but they kept pushing through like champs. They had one of the sweetest ceremonies that made almost everyone in the audience laughing the entire time. Kaitlynn’s father officiated the wedding, and let me tell you, there is just something special about an adoring daddy marrying off his baby girl.
The day was overwhelmed by emotion filled parents dances, amazing speeches from siblings, and wicked dance party. They had a surprise that none of their guest knew about to bring the day to a close, which was a gorgeous firework show. I can stress enough how I loved every second of this sweet day. (even though I couldn’t feel my hands) It was such an honor to be able to play such a small roll in such a big day for them. Love you big Mr + Mrs Begley!!
