It was a beautiful sunny day in Austin, TX. The day that Kristen + Stephen were going to officially tie the knot. The venue was perfectly lovely, and all of Kristen’s hard work was finally coming together. The day was spent laughing, reminiscing, and celebrating. There was special moments such as re-creating Stephen’s brother and his wife’s wedding picture that I had shot just a year and a half earlier, the lighting of a cigar that was bought on the day of Kristen’s birth, and dancing on her daddy’s shoes during the daddy-daughter dance.
Kristen + Stephen were the best man back in Oct. 2013 at Shelly + Drew’s beautiful wedding. I fell in love with them the moment I saw them together and I just knew that I had to shoot their wedding when the time came. So sure enough, they got engaged just short of a year after and started planning their beautiful ATX wedding. Kristen’s vision was to create a beautiful garden party inspired wedding where everyone could come to relax and celebrate this beautiful day with them!
I was SO excited when I got the call from them and got to spend my day roadtripping down to Austin to celebrate with them! Kristen was such a beautiful bride, with such a unique style. And Stephen and his guys made the day pretty wicked fun. Plus, I got to spend the day with the fabulous Nonus family again!! It was SO wonderful seeing so many familiar faces!!
From the beginning to end, Kristen + Stephen’s day was ridiculously perfect. The light was fabulous all.day.long, and Kristen + Stephen’s love and happiness was so dang evident in every aspect of the day. Plus, I got to take a zillion couples picture’s since we had yummy light and plenty of time!!
