What a day. Liz + Michael’s wedding blew me away on multiple levels. This was the first Vietnamese wedding I’ve had the privilege of photographing, and let me tell you, it was an incredible experience. I got to be a part of documenting the traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony the day before and it gave me a whole new perspective into this sweet day. When I first met Liz + Michael, our initial meeting lasted close to 2 hours and was full of them educating me on the Vietnamese culture and got me so excited for their wedding.
Liz + Michael chose to have their ceremony at their alma mater, TCU in the Robert Carr Chapel, which is absolutely beautiful. Then they had the best dinner + party back at Brik Venue in Fort Worth. The day was so perfectly curated and full of lots of emotions. Especially during their private vow reading, which was truly my favorite part of this day.
After the ceremony we had plenty of time for photos, which even gave us time to sneak on the roof for some couples pictures before the grand entrance. Talk about gorgeous. The rest of the evening was filled with so many sweet traditions and little surprises such as the TCU superfrog joining the dance floor, a beignet bus, and a family tradition of blindfolding the bride and having to identify her groom by feeling his hand. The whole room cheered so loud when she guessed correctly!!! ha!
It was an incredible day, and I’m so honored to have a been a part of it. It’s a long one, so buckle in. <3
